Our research interest is at the interface between cell engineering and biomaterial engineering. We are interested in applying synthetic biology tools to engineer cells for therapeutic applications. We are also interested in developing drug delivery systems, such as nano-formulations, wearable devices, and injectable drug-releasing depots. In addition, we are interested in engineering tissue models for transplantation, disease modeling, or personalized prediction of therapeutic efficacy.
